This is one of the recent likeness studies I have worked on in the last few months. The subject in this case is the singer James Maynard Keenan from one of my favorite bands, Tool.
The goal of this study is to improve my ability to replicate a decent likeness, forcing myself to observe the reference without using any help like measurements or tools such as the Zbrush spotlight to get the primary and secondary forms.
This process also helped me to develop my workflow to sculpt skin details using a combination of personal and default alphas.
Even though the piece isn't the best likeness ever, I am quite satisfied about the result compared to my previous projects.
